saveourhistory13 asked: I seem to remember a business around poplar and about 24th st Klein plating maybe. Anyone remember or have pictures before demolition probably 20 years ago.

I don’t have any photos.  There is a Klein Plating currently located on Greengarden Blvd but I don’t know if it’s related, and I’m not exactly sure of your location…that area of Poplar seems to be mostly residential.  Maybe our followers can share some information.

Recently demolished industrial site. I only got to see it one time. A few weeks later it was gone.

Is this the former Green Shingle?

Yes.

I really wanted a better closeup shot of that oven, but there was no way in hell I was going to walk through that greasy slime.

Anonymous asked: Do you have a white car? If so, I think my boyfriend and I passed you while you were taking pictures of the Dixie truck stop! We live close by and were coming home from the beach.

No, but I noticed a white car parked along the road when I pulled in (I parked in the lot)…and while I was photographing near the pumps I noticed a red minivan pull in, too.  But I never ran into anyone while I was there and the white car was still there when I left.
